Gasthof-Hotel Zum Ochsen in Furtwangen

Nice hotel, friendly staff but the waitress on the first evening wore the mask all evening with his nose hanging out. That is currently not possible and therefore 2 star deduction.

We went to the Ochsen in Furtwangen for late lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant with hotel is located in the pedestrian area with restricted traffic. The restaurant has a nice selection of typical and regional dishes. The staff is very friendly. The food was very good and served in generous portions. Definitely worth a visit!

Very nice outside terrace in front of the building in the restricted traffic area. Very tasty burgers and great food offers, also for larger groups. The choice of drinks is very extensive and there are also cocktails. Staff and owners are very friendly. Larger events such as birthday parties, funerals, or the like are excellently organized.

Great large family room, clean and cozy. The restaurant is traditionally rustic, the cuisine and service are impeccable. Sufficient parking spaces directly at the house.

Have spent a weekend there, were very satisfied, breakfast was plentiful and if you wanted something in addition it brought the breakfast woman immediately. Of course, dinner was also delicious. Our room double room was small, clean and with new windows. The waitresses in the evening were also very nice. Can I recommend further. 👍

On the occasion of my birthday, four of us had lunch at the Gasthof Ochsen today. Got five stars there 1) good selection 2) nice ambience 3) good location 4) Ample servings 6) fast operation and 7) very tasty can only recommend the restaurant. The four of us paid 72 euros with drinks.

Hotel is absolutely central, directly opposite the city hall and next to the university. Added to this is a charm of its own: one feels in the best sense of being transported back to the "good old days". In the evening you can in the restaurant in peace a beer, aich the food is good.

I can recommend it to others. My room was rustic but quite adequate and clean. The service and the dinner ochsenburger had suupperrrr. Price / offer: Very good.
